Nokia 6280 - Phone Review Twin eyes with the Nokia 6280

22 March 2006
Written by David Hall

In Summary

Nokia are quickly making their way into the 3G market with a range of new handsets suiting all users, from business to the entry level. The Nokia 6280 could probably be classed as a medium-to-high-end handset, although some people might detest the high-end class as the handset doesn’t operate under a Smartphone OS like Symbian.

The 6280 has some outstanding features like a 2mpx digital camera (up to 1600 x 1200 pixel still images), QVGA resolution display, 3G network compatibility, tri-band GSM coverage, an FM Stereo radio and fully featured video and audio media player.

The 6280 is a great mobile phone, and I was sad the day I was told it had to go back to its home. I think that the type of user who would most benefit from the 6280 would be a business or heavy day-to-day user who needs high-speed always-on connectivity and superb quality mobile imaging. For a new user to the 3G network the 6280 might be a little much.

You can find the 6280 on the Three network both pre-paid ($459) and on a plan ($14p/month + cap) or can be bought outright.
