Motorola V60i - Future phone

Motorola V60i

27 August 2002
Written by Kinny Cheng

The V60 gets even better, with the new V60i - soon to be released into Australia and currently available in some South-East Asian markets.

Some of the new things packaged with the V60i include a set interchangeable convertible alloy covers (up to 4 different colours will be available), a choice of three different colour backlights, Java application compatibility, WAP 1.2.1 Motorola Microbrowser, a bigger phone book (up to 1,000 number entries) and battery life improvements.

As for those good old features on the V60, they are still around. Tri-band compatibility (GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz), GPRS Class 8 (1 up, 4 down) compliance for high speed data access, calculator and currency converter, and dual displays are just some of those.

We are hoping to see the V60i make it here within the next few months - probably around the beginning of Q4 2002.
